Due to unprecedented business growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a metal fabricator / laser operator to be based at our site in Garforth. Reporting to the factory manager, you will be responsible for the production and quality of customer orders, and the completion of orders on time.
You will have experience in the manufacture of sheet metal products, welding, folding and general metal fabrication skills. It would be advantageous if you also have experience in the use of modern fibre laser cutting machines and / or press brakes.
You must have the ability to understand engineering assembly drawings, have knowledge of basic fabrication techniques, and have experience of fabrication machine operation, process assembly and design. Skills and experience in MIG welding is a desirable requirement of the role but not essential.

Core Responsibilities
To understand technical engineering drawings in order to fabricate sheet metal, commit work to laser cutters and press brakes, assembly of core components and finishing all products to the highest quality every time.
Be accountable for quality an accuracy of products manufactured and the timely delivery of customer orders. Pride in doing an exceptional job on every product, no matter if they are big or small is essential.
You will be responsible for the input to the successful implementation of each job and have a passion for continuous improvement and product design.
Skills and Experience Requirements
A minimum of two years working within metal fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing environment, ideally with experience of modern fibre laser cutting machines and / or press brakes.
Experience in the operation of, CNC machinery, press brakes, swagers, rollers and the ability to weld using modern MIG welders to a good level would be advantageous.
The ability to work using their own initiative and to a high standard of finish.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
