Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metalwork Operative to join our manufacturing/engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, cutting, bending, and finishing of metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to work with a variety of hand tools and machinery are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and follow technical drawings, work orders, and specifications Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, Robot Welder, Drills Etc. Cut, drill, and shape metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery Assemble metal products using welding, or fastening techniques Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet required standards Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines Carry out routine maintenance and report faults with machinery or tools Assist with packing, labelling, and preparing items for dispatch if required Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements:

Previous experience in a metalworking or fabrication environment (desirable but not essential if training is provided) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Basic knowledge of welding, fabrication, or sheet metal processes Competency in using hand and power tools Good physical fitness and manual dexterity Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Willingness to learn and develop new skills Forklift or crane license (advantageous)

Working Conditions:

Workshop or factory-based environment Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required May involve lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working with noisy machinery
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.26-15.30 per hour
