Summary

We are seeking a skilled MET/Strip & Fitter (Mechanical, Electrical, Trim) technician to join our team at G & B Accident Repair Centre in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnostic work, removal and refit of body panels, lining bodywork before paint and refit after paint.

The candidate will own his own tools to carry out the tasks allocated, work to BSI standards, following job cards and have previous experience in this type of work.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles accurately. Carry out Pre & Post Repair Diagnostic Scans. Knowledge in removal and refit of all types of vehicle body panels. Be able to correctly realign all types of bodywork panels after removal. Understand how to read and utilise methods Utilise tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs. Collaborate with other technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards. Complete all work within specified timeframes while ensuring quality control.

Requirements

Proven experience as an MET technician or similar role in the automotive industry. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive repair. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
