Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Microbiology Team Leader

to oversee and manage microbiology laboratory operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain quality assurance, and lead a team of microbiologists in conducting microbial testing, research, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and supervise the microbiology team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to SOPs. perform microbiological testing, including sterility testing, environmental monitoring, and microbial identification. Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, and other regulatory requirements. Develop, validate, and implement microbiological methods and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality control, product development, and troubleshooting. Maintain laboratory records, analyse data, and prepare reports for regulatory submissions. Train and mentor team members, ensuring continuous professional development. Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Investigate microbiological OOS, deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in microbiology.

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical, food, or biotechnology industry. Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods, contamination control, and regulatory guidelines. Experience in leading a team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in laboratory documentation, data interpretation, and reporting. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience with sterility assurance, validation studies, and risk assessments. Certification in microbiology or quality assurance. Hands-on experience with advanced microbiological techniques and instrumentation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 29,000.00-33,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Watford WD18: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
