Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our care home. This role involves providing leadership and support to staff while ensuring the wellbeing and development of the children in our care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in senior care, and experience in supervising teams. You will be responsible for implementing care plans and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of each child. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote effective communication and collaboration. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the care home setting. Provide training and support to team members, promoting professional development and best practices in child care. Maintain accurate records using IT systems for monitoring progress and reporting purposes. Drive company vehicles as required for transporting children or staff to appointments or activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a care home or similar environment is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. A valid driving licence is required for this position. Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes is advantageous. A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their welfare and development.
