The Azure Security Operations lead will work within the Azure & Power Cloud Services team, leading a Security Operations team that are responsible for making sure all aspects of the platform are secure, and all operational risks are managed. Reporting to the global Head of Azure & Power Platform and engaging with Microsoft, Chief Controls Office, Cyber Security teams, ITSR, Azure Engineering, Azure Operational team and customers to ensure that we are providing a platform that is secure-by-design and compliant with HSBC mandatory policies and security standards. Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities will include:





Ensure that Azure foundation platform conforms to HSBC Cyber Security standards and adheres to the bank's controls and compliance requirements. Incorporate Security standards and best practice into Azure Cloud Services functional patterns, whilst ensuring the Azure Foundation Platform conforms to all regulatory requirements Maintain and manage all customer facing Security information and knowledge bases, and support the Cloud Controls Office and Internal audit functions with requests for information. Accountable for ensuring that robust SIEM (logging) and Monitoring processes are in place. Provide Management reporting to ensure data driven discussions for continuous improvement. Develop and promote the reuse of patterns. Ensure and maintain Business continuity plan for the Azure platform and carry out regular tests in line with HSBC standards Business contingency standards Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between Cyber security, Controls office and the wider Azure Cloud Services team Lead Wiz implementation and develop close working relationship with Cyber and multi-cloud security leads

Qualifications and experience



The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:



Experience working in a security related discipline and dealing and responding to IT Audit Awareness of data security and regulatory requirements within financial services Experience working with one or more Cloud service providers Strong leadership and teamwork skills - Works collaboratively in an agile environment with Stakeholders to deliver the service Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security, risk and regulatory standards A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change


We offer hybrid style working and the site location could be any offices of your choice including Sheffield and Edinburgh
