Role Overview:



Combine technical expertise, creativity, and industry knowledge to design and deliver innovative, practical solutions tailored to meet client needs.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Design Development:



Create and develop detailed 3D designs using CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, some AutoCAD & Revit). Interpret project briefs, specifications, and requirements to produce innovative, functional designs. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to refine concepts and deliverables.

Technical Detailing:



Produce technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications for manufacturing and construction processes. Ensure designs adhere to relevant UK standards, building regulations, and safety guidelines. Liaise with suppliers and fabricators to validate the feasibility of designs and material selection.

Project Coordination:



Coordinate design deliverables within project timelines and budgets. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and production teams. Provide support during project execution, addressing design-related queries and modifications.

Research and Development:



Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and trends within the manufacturing and construction sectors. Drive innovation by proposing new approaches to design challenges. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to optimize designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:



Ensure all designs comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct quality checks and revisions throughout the design process.

Skills:



Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in design software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar. Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and construction methodologies. Creative problem-solving and critical thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Previous experience in a design role within manufacturing, construction, or related industries is essential. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes is a plus. Some skill in the creative suite as such Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator would be ideal
