Upperdog is a digital agency based in the centre of Bournemouth. We are a growing team of digital specialists who live by our motto:

We're entering an exciting growth phase, and we're looking for a mid-weight Project Manager ready to step up, drive delivery excellence, and become a trusted partner to our clients.

About the role



This is a hands-on end-to-end project management role, where

client servicing and delivery leadership go hand-in-hand

. You'll manage a variety of website design and development projects, from kick-off and scoping through to release and post-launch support.

You'll work closely with designers, developers and senior stakeholders, planning work into production, guiding teams to hit deadlines, and building lasting client relationships rooted in trust and clarity.

Key responsibilities



Project & client ownership

Plan, scope and estimate projects, ensuring clear briefs and agreed deliverables

Run client meetings and workshops, sharing status updates and presenting work confidently

Manage budgets, timelines, and resources as well as proactively identifying risks or blockers

Delivery leadership

Work closely with our production team to schedule tasks and keep work moving smoothly

Maintain project documentation, tickets and forecasts

Oversee key project phases including UX, design, development, QA, launch and support

Communication & collaboration

Ensure clients feel supported, informed and confident in the process

Provide clear internal communication, ensuring requirements are fully understood

Support smooth transitions into retainer, improvement or support phases

Quality & results focus

Uphold delivery standards: accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement

Drive successful project outcomes through testing, acceptance and feedback loops

Celebrate wins and capture learnings for future optimisation

Skills & experience



Required

2-3+ years in a digital agency or web-focused delivery environment

Strong project planning and coordination skills (budgets, scopes, timelines)

Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and client-facing

Confident presenting ideas and managing expectations at all levels

Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (design + development)

Familiarity with modern PM tools and processes (e.g. Basecamp, Jira or similar)

Nice to have



Experience managing WordPress web builds

Understanding of UX, design, SEO or web development principles

Knowledge of resource planning and commercial performance metrics

Experience in ongoing website support or retainers

Any exposure to analytics, CRO or digital strategy
