We are seeking a self employed skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various welding techniques and be proficient in using hand and power tools. This role is essential for the fabrication and assembly of metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process, grinding will be a part of daily duties.
Duties of a MIG Welder:
Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. Grinding when required.
Utilise TIG and Stick welding techniques as required for specific projects.
Fabricate components from sheet metal, following engineering drawings and specifications.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
Conduct assembly of welded parts, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Carry out routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Experience of a MIG Welder:
Proven experience in MIG welding - minimum 1 year, with additional skills in TIG and Stick welding considered advantageous but not essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with fabrication processes and techniques, particularly in sheet metal work.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
