Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components. Responsibilities

Operate MIG welding equipment to produce precise welds on various metal components. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently and safely during assembly processes. Perform fabrication tasks involving sheet metal, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Conduct routine inspections of welds and completed work for quality assurance. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts as required, applying mechanical knowledge and basic maths skills. Use hand tools and fabrication equipment to modify or repair components as necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in MIG welding; proficiency in MIG welding is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Ability to perform basic maths calculations related to measurements and tolerances. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards. Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position is paid and suitable for candidates committed to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship within a professional manufacturing environment.
Full time Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 16.30pm Friday 7.00am - 14.30pm.

Pay: Up to 15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
