Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools to ensure high-quality welds and assemblies.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on various components according to specifications and drawings. Utilise TIG welding techniques as needed for specific projects. Fabricate metal parts and assemblies, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any welding-related issues that may arise during fabrication.

Qualifications

Proven experience in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in assembly or fabrication roles is advantageous.
