We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding operations primarily using MIG techniques, contributing to the fabrication of high-quality components and structures. Responsibilities
Carry out MIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment efficiently to complete assembly and fabrication tasks.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and specifications.
Perform quality checks on welded parts, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in the setup and calibration of welding equipment as needed.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications
Proven experience in MIG welding; Stick welding experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of MIG and Stick welding techniques and processes.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting, bending and basic fabrication methods.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with sheet metal work and assembly processes.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, following all health and safety protocols.
Previous experience with welding in a production or industrial setting is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates committed to learning.
