Salary:

43,443

Hours of work:

42 average hours per week, 4 on 4 off shift pattern. You will be required to work both days and nights.

2Agriculture are offering an exciting opportunity for a Mill Supervisor to join the team based at Stoke Ferry. It is a fantastic time to join 2Agriculture and play a key role in realising our ambitious growth plans.

Role Profile



The role of the Supervisor is to lead the mill team ensuring all safety, quality and productivity targets are met in order to deliver business objectives.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to lead the team, driving consistently excellent performance to deliver KPI's for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost. Throughout this you will promote an inclusive culture, focussing on employee engagement to deliver business objectives, managing team performance, setting targets, undertaking regular appraisals. You will also be required to deputise for the Mill Manager when necessary to ensure continuous operation at the Mill, supporting with absence, capability, and disciplinary matters.

Day to day you will assist in co-ordinating the activities of workers and the daily operation of the feed mill. This will involve daily stock takes and completion of statutory records and production sheets. You may be required to conduct basic level routine maintenance where possible, liaising with the Engineering department to address breakdowns or interruptions to production to minimise downtime. You will also continually ensure the environment is safe and clean to prevent a negative impact on quality standards.

Essential Skills and Experience Required



To be successful in this role, the desired candidate should hold a minimum Standard Grade level 3 or equivalent National Grade level in Maths and English and have strong, demonstrable experience within a team-based manufacturing/production environment, working with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPI's. Holding a relevant management qualification and/or an apprenticeship/qualification in a relevant field is preferred.

You should be comfortable motivating and empowering others whilst making prompt clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks and be confident taking responsibility for these actions. We are looking for someone that demonstrates an interest and understanding of others, adapts to the team and builds team spirit through listening and communicating proactively and effectively.
