Job Overview

The Minister of Religion plays a pivotal role in guiding and nurturing the spiritual growth of the community. This position involves leading worship services, providing pastoral care, and engaging with congregants to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. The Minister will also be responsible for educating the community on religious teachings and values, ensuring that the message is communicated effectively and resonates with diverse audiences.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting various roles as a minister of religion. These roles are officiating as a prophet/prophetess during church service, rendering spiritual guidance to members, supervising church evangelism, leading church counselling and prayer sessions, coordinating church/community charity programs among others.

Duties

Lead regular worship services, including sermons and prayers, to inspire and uplift the congregation. Provide pastoral care by offering support, guidance, and counselling to individuals and families in need. Educate congregants on religious texts, doctrines, and practices through classes, workshops, and discussions. Communicate effectively with the community through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and public speaking engagements. Organise community events that promote fellowship, service, and outreach initiatives. Collaborate with church leaders and volunteers to develop programmes that meet the needs of the congregation. Encourage participation in church activities such as dance or music ministries to enhance worship experiences.

Qualifications

Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey messages of faith and support. Experience in educating others about religious beliefs and practices is highly desirable. A background in dance or other forms of artistic expression is a plus, as it can enrich worship services. A deep understanding of religious texts and a commitment to ongoing personal spiritual development. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: 19,000.00-23,000.00 per year
