Mixing Plant/ Granex Pellet Line Operative

To set and run various machines for PVC profile Production, monitor and maintain the production process, to ensure finished product meets all relevant specifications and ensure all production activities are monitored to minimize downtime and scrap levels.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

Developing and maintaining a robust housekeeping approach. Operate and monitor PVC mixing equipment to produce PVC compounds according to specified formulations and production schedules Operate PVC mixing equipment to produce compounds according to specified formulations and production schedules Ensuring adherence to company consistency and quality. Monitor the mixing process Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards and ensuring procedures are always followed. Monitoring and maintaining process to ensure finished product meets all relevant specifications. Ensuring production schedule is adhered to. Ensuring all production activities are monitored to minimized downtime and scrap levels. Communicating performance inefficiencies, Health and Safety or quality issues to the Supervisor. Ensuring all relevant production administration is completed. Maximizing production with production monitoring and fault finding, set changes, tool trials and regulation of cycle times. Ensuring general maintenance of machinery, including striping tools, inspecting parts, verifying, and adjusting the meet specification.

Flexible attitude to working hours. Good communication skills (written & verbal). Able to work to tight deadlines. Able to work various shifts. Attention to detail and fault finding. Good literacy and numerical skills. Positive, can-do attitude, working along with small team in fast newly established business

Qualifications/Skills:

Experience of working within production environment, operating machinery, minimum of 3 years essential PVC Mixing desirable. Experience of working within manufacturing environment, minimum of 5 years essential. FLT licence Ability to work under pressure. This role involves some heavy manual handling.
