Job Advertisement: MLOps Engineer (Healthtec) - 3 to 6 months contract initially (space to extend)

My client is currently seeking a talented and experienced MLOps Engineer to join our their company on a contract basis. As a leading innovator in the healthcare AI industry, they are dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge technology and advanced analytics to revolutionize patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in machine learning operations and help shape the future of healthcare technology. The initial contract duration will be 3 to 6 months, with the potential for extension based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to deploy, manage, and optimize machine learning models in production.
  • Develop and maintain robust pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training.
  • Implement scalable and efficient deployment strategies for machine learning models using containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Monitor model performance and implement strategies for continuous model improvement and retraining.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of machine learning solutions into existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintain a strong focus on security, privacy, and compliance requirements in healthcare data management.
  • Identify and address operational issues related to model deployment, monitoring, and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in MLOps and healthcare.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an MLOps Engineer or similar role, preferably in the healthcare or life sciences domain.
  • Strong proficiency in machine learning concepts and techniques, with hands-on experience in model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and knowledge of cloud-based machine learning services.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools for data preprocessing and manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Contract Details:
  • Contract duration: Initially 3 to 6 months, with potential for extension.
  • Day rate: \xc2\xa3500 - \xc2\xa3750 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Outside IR35: This role is classified as outside IR35.
  • Location: The position can be remote, with occasional on-site collaboration required.
