We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Mobile Plant Fitter/Welder

to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about providing high-quality maintenance and repairs to plant equipment in the extractive industry, we want to hear from you!

Due to high demand and new projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Fitter/Welder to join our team.

This position is well-suited to a self-motivated person with great attention to detail who is looking to assist expand the business and satisfy new and existing clients.

Working alongside other sub- contractors, employees and company directors you will be responsible to carry out all works to a high standard, help identify any improvements that can be made, and have a good working relationship with clients management and staff on site.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on both mobile and fixed extractive plant machinery, including crushers, washing plants, screens, dry mortar, ready-mix, bagging and asphalt and other heavy plant equipment. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all machinery is operating at optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical faults, identifying and resolving issues efficiently. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times. Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and timesheets. Work independently or as part of a team to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Provide technical advice to other team members when required. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and repair requests on-site.

Requirements/Skills:



As well as working as part of our existing maintenance team, you will also be required on occasion to work on your own using your own initiative, so it is important you have good problem-solving skills.

Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and process systems. To be flexible and work round clients' needs Some weekend work will be required but paid at overtime rate Some nights away may be required depending on work locations, with full expenses paid. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Full UK driving license and ability to travel to various sites with company vehicle as required. Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or similar). Proven experience in maintaining and repairing mobile plant and heavy machinery (experience in extractive industries is preferred). Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:



Previous experience working within the extractive or construction industry. SPA Quarry Passport preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate. CSCS Card desirable but not essential IPAF in MEWPs (3a & 3b) desirable but not essential Lifting & slinging desirable but not essential Experience in welding/fabrication, confined space work and working at heights is preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate. Forklift / Telehandler Experience desirable but not essential
