We are seeking a part-time (24hrs per week) Mobile Maintenance Technician to join the team. You will be responsible for completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs, and tackling a range of other practical tasks across our sites in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Norfolk.
Pushforward has spent 25 years developing provision for the education of young people who do not fit within a mainstream approach to learning. Rather than have one location, we have over 22 (and growing) sites that need to be looked after, ensuring they are safe, meet health and safety standards, and look great for our young people and staff to work from.
Pushforward Secondary Education are interviewing for a new Mobile Maintenance Technician to join on Tuesday 16th December 2025, 5:30pm in Bury St Edmunds.
Candidates must have a full clean driving licence.
Company vehicle and all tools/equipment needed to carry out this role are provided during work time.
Salary range 28-30K (pro-rata)
The role may include;
Completing minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns
Basic building and carpentry jobs including stud walls, hanging doors and fencing
Installing household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers
Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
Fitting shelves, hanging pictures, and installing window locks
Conducting emergency audits
Preparing new units for use (eg tables/chairs/posters/equipment) needed to make the unit usage, safe and engaging place to learn from.
Working with Health & Safety Advisor
Undertaking basic gardening projects
Liaising with the facilities administrator to ensure the buildings are maintained to the highest possible standard.
Using Planner software to manage workload and maintenance tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
You will follow strict safeguarding and health and safety protocols as part of Pushforward procedures.
Although not working directly with our young people, as we take safeguarding very seriously - before any employment is confirmed enhanced DBS checks and references are taken.
