We provide exceptional customer service and supply high-quality mobility equipment throughout Leicestershire. We are seeking a hands-on, customer-centric technician to join our expanding operations team.
Role Overview
This versatile and rewarding position is ideal for individuals with a mechanical or electrical background who thrive on problem-solving, independent work, and making a tangible impact on customers' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, service, repair, and maintain mobility scooters, powerchairs, and riser recliner chairs (full training provided)
- Recondition mobility products
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on client products
- Install, repair and maintain stairlifts (full training provided)
- Deliver, install, and demonstrate hospital beds and specialist seating
- Maintain a clean, well-organised, and safe working environment
- Maintain and organise the warehouse for spare parts and shop stock
- Accurately complete job sheets and service records
- Represent the company with professionalism and a positive attitude at all times
About You
We are seeking an individual who possesses not only technical expertise but also organisational skills, teamwork abilities, reliability, and a willingness to grow alongside the business.
Essential Qualifications
- Technical skills in mechanical engineering, electrical systems, and diagnostics
- Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair work
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Strong organisational skills
- Self-motivated and confident working independently
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full, UK driving license (free of points or disqualifications)
- No unspent criminal convictions (DBS Check required)
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar engineering qualification
- Previous experience in the mobility, healthcare, or assistive technology sectors
