Mortgage IQ is one of Northern Irelands leading mortgage brokers. We are going through a period of expansion and are looking to add new Mortgage and Protection Advisers to our team in Ballymena and in the Belfast area.
In your role, you'll be helping people find and apply for the right mortgage, making sure they are fully informed about what's available and providing advice.
Working in a customer's best interests, it's down to you to find the best mortgage based on their situation and finances and guide them through the whole process including providing protection advice.
To carry out the service, your day to day routine could involve dealing with estate agents, valuers, builders, mortgage lenders and protection providers, keeping up to date with the current market and law and working closely with your clients.
You'll need to follow strict industry rules and guidelines, which make sure that you act fairly and are qualified to give appropriate financial advice.

Your day-to-day duties may include:
advising clients on the homebuying process
contacting existing clients
finding out about your client's finances
explaining the different types of mortgage, repayments and mortgage protection
advising clients on the correct mortgage/protection products for them
selling related financial products like buildings or life insurance
creating referrals to Financial Advisers for investment and pension advice
meeting sales and compliance targets
dealing with estate agents, valuers and mortgage lenders
keeping up-to-date with new mortgage products and any changes in the law
working closely with the dedicated administrative team to handover mortgage and protection cases effectively and efficiently
Desirable Criteria:
1-2 years' experience in a Financial Services role (not necessarily in a sales or mortgage role)
CeMAP qualified or working towards completion
Previous customer facing experience
The ability to self generate business from your personal network
