The role
The Associate deals directly with the UK-wide network of professional mortgage and insurance Advisers, in relation to residential and buy to let mortgage case files and their compliance with; operating procedures, the Stonebridge Performance Management System and the FCA regulatory requirements.
The role includes completing 1-2-1 reviews, checking cases and supporting specific AR Firms / Advisers.
The Associate provides coaching and guidance to upskill the advisers, fostering good practice and standards, by phone and email and reviews and provides feedback on promotional materials.
Key responsibilities
Complete 1-2-1s and observations
Complete reviews of mortgage & insurance cases, provide feedback on risks, shortfalls or potential fraud for adviser action
Deal with adviser queries by phone/email, giving instructions to complete cases in line with standards & regulations
Monitor AR competence records (CPD) and provide feedback
Review sales promotions & documentation and provide feedback/guidance as required
Keep team spreadsheets up to date
These are the primary responsibilities of the role, on which the individual will be assessed and their performance measured. From time to time they may be asked to undertake other activities to support the team/company overall. These will be defined by their line manager and the expected period/duration confirmed.
These responsibilities may be varied and/or expanded in line with business need in the future. This will be communicated in advance of any changes.
Our ideal candidate
Previous mortgage file reviewing or adviser experience
Experience of providing one to one feedback around compliance or receiving one to one feedback around compliance as a mortgage adviser
Ability to prepare reports, create and interpret MI
Keen eye for detail
Probing, investigative, analytical
Assertive communicator
Able to fully satisfy the pre employment screening process which comprises of right to work, identity, 5 years referencing, AML, credit screen, financial sanctions and DBS checks
