We are seeking a dedicated Mortgage Consultant to join our specialist agricultural and equestrian mortgage team. The successful candidate will assist clients in securing suitable mortgage solutions, guiding them through the application process with professionalism and expertise. Responsibilities
Respond to and manage incoming client telephone and e-mail enquiries
Assess clients' financial situations to determine appropriate mortgage options
Provide expert advice on mortgage products, interest rates, and repayment plans
Guide clients through the entire application process, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth transactions
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and lending criteria
Prepare and present customised mortgage proposals tailored to individual client needs
Follow up with clients throughout the approval process to ensure timely completion
Keep detailed records of client interactions and transactions in accordance with company policies
Qualifications
Prior experience or knowledge in financial services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Basic accountancy and / or financial underwriting skills are required to accurately assess financial data and calculations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
