Job Description

Due to continuing growth, we are looking to recruit a Motor Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester, Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm and Saturday mornings. We offer an excellent basic salary with pro rata OTE up to \xc2\xa345,000 per annum. Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard the first time.
• Your responsibilities will include electrical and mechanical repairs, including steering, suspension, brakes, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Be able to accurately provide estimates for repairs to ensure all sales vehicles are prepared to our retail standards.
• Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
• Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Workshop Controller when required.
• Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with manufacturer, warranty and dealer requirements.
• Accurately complete vehicle health checks, job cards and reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.
• Work closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

Experience:

• We will consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working within the automotive sector as a vehicle technician, mechanic, MOT Tester or Auto Electrician.
• We welcome Technicians holding NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• MOT testing licence would be preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
