Meridian Business Support are recruiting for an MOT Tester to join this expanding team based in St Albans (AL4).

We are currently looking for an individual to join UK\'s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products and services, and the UK\'s largest vehicle service, maintenance and repair business in St Albans. As an MOT tester, you will join a team of highly experienced technicians working in a professional and friendly environment. In this role, you will be able to develop your skills and knowledge and make a real contribution to the smooth running of the business. You will be provided with all the training you need to utilise the latest diagnostic and testing equipment and learn the latest techniques.

Salary: \xc2\xa330,000 to \xc2\xa336,191 per year with uncapped bonus
Shifts: 44 hours working 5 days out of 7 (closed Sundays)
Hours: 08:00 - 18:00

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests and inspections on a range of vehicles, ensuring that they meet all relevant regulations and standards of safety. You must be able to use a variety of diagnostic equipment and have a good eye for detail in order to identify any potential defects or issues.
The ideal candidate will have:

• A valid class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence OR NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, or time served experience. We\'ll train you with an Automotive Technician Accreditation course
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points
• Previous experience as an MOT tester
• Willing to do technical work alongside testing
• The ability to use a variety of diagnostic equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
