About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Outdoor Recreation Facility on RAF Lakenheath, UK.



This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guaranteed per week.

Duties

----------


Operates and performs operator maintenance on one or more vehicles to include: passenger shuttle vans/cars and cargo vans with gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. Operates vehicle through all kinds of traffic, depending upon the type of vehicle being operated. Loads and unloads cargo by hand. Exercises caution in preventing overloading and in securing cargo to prevent damage or loss in transit and for the safety and comfort of passengers. Determines shortest and safest routes. Observes safety rules, regulations and posted traffic controls and highway guide signs. Cleans interior/exterior of vehicle to in-house standards after each use. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must be able to satisfactory complete a pre-employment physical Must have a valid US Driver's License and 3rd AF license. This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement for up to 60/90 days after the closing date. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. LQA is not authorized.
