Starting salary: 26, 415.20 rising to 33,019 once fully competent

We're looking for

xMould Makers to join our experienced team, where you'll be at the heart of producing and maintaining precision-engineered mould covers used in the papermaking process. You'll work with both traditional tools and advanced automated equipment to build and maintain essential components in a clean, well-organised, and safety-driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing



Assembling high-precision mould covers using welding, embossing, and machining techniques Performing repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of mould covers and expanding cylinders Operating manual and automated mould manufacturing machinery (full training provided) Supporting the transport of moulds and equipment between departments Maintaining accurate records of your work using both digital and paper-based systems Playing a key role in quality assurance, working to microns of accuracy Contributing to team success by sharing skills, supporting training, and collaborating with other departments Participating in a call-out rota to support essential production needs (with appropriate support and rota management)

What We're Looking For



A good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent, especially in English and Maths) Strong practical skills and attention to detail - experience in a technical or hands-on role is a bonus Comfortable using computers, particularly Microsoft Excel Willingness to learn new technical processes and equipment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and quality Ideally, previous experience in welding, metalwork, or mechanical assembly - but full training will be given Willingness to undertake overhead crane training (if not already qualified)
