Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with electrical and mechanical, plumbing or HVAC bias, to provide and maintain a high level of building maintenance support to our clients, leading a team of 3 other shift engineers in attending/completing mechanical, HVAC and plumbing reactive work orders received on shift and carrying out routine planned maintenance


Your core working hours will be 07.00-19.00, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, spanning weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, as they fall within the shift pattern. You will be part of a shift team (4 in total) that ensure that the service levels are maintained outside of Monday-Friday helpdesk hours (7.30-16.00). Your role will be to lead the shift team to ensure compliance with all contract SLAs times, statutory obligations

and

assist in coordinating sub-contractors as required.

The Ideal candidate




The ideal candidate will have time served apprenticeships and/or an equivalent NVQ qualification in electrical and mechanical, plumbing or HVAC disciplines, able to demonstrate a true Multi-Skilled background. As this is a Lead Engineer role, you will be a reliable and conscientious individual, with attention to detail. You should have a pro-active and positive approach to work. You will be expected to effectively prioritise your own workload whilst assisting other engineers/staff with their duties as required. You should be committed to the delivery of excellent customer service. You should have a good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and building Statutory Compliance and be able to apply this to the role. It is essential you can carry tools and equipment by hand of up to 20kg, be able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment, work at heights and hold a full UK driving licence

Expectations





You should have strong knowledge and be able to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required in the scope of the contract, ensuring that the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of building maintenance is completed in line with contractual obligations.


Lead the shift team effectively, taking charge when required to ensure work is farily distributed and completed to a hig standard, customer communication, and coordination of subcontractors. All assets should be maintained in accordance with the O&M Manuals, alongside compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation and Company Policy (fire regulations, COSHH, safe working practises, PPE, PAT testing etc). While on shift you will also be expected to ensure all mechanical, plumbing and HVAC elements are functional and operational within design parameters, carrying out reactive repairs within agreed response and rectification times, or to escalate as required. You shall ensure all reactive calls are closed out in line with contractual time scales. * You will also be expected to anticipate, diagnose and repair faults, recording accurately on the Maximo mobile app and worksheets, and complete any ADHOC duties assigned. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment and plant/rooms/services are kept clean, safe, and secure.
