G&L Contractors Ltd are an Ickenham based company. We are a small friendly team who strive create a positive working environment. We are based in Ickenham (West London) and all works are located to the surrounding local areas. Works are predominantly carried out in schools and for local councils.

We are looking for a hard-working, experienced all-round builder/ multi-trader who takes pride in their work. You must be able to use your own initiative when carrying out repairs to achieve the best possible results for the customer. It is important to achieve the highest standard of customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly by always remaining professional. You must also have good leadership skills as you will line manage a full-time labourer.

Most works will be within the education sector (primary and secondary schools etc). Therefore, the ability to work during school holidays is essential. There is also the occasional work for private residential customers and landlords. Our ideal candidate will also be willing to undertake garden works. This includes clearances, cutbacks and general garden maintenance. The ability to lay small patios and carry out small concrete works is also desirable.

As a Multi Trade Builder, you will be a versatile and skilled professional with expertise in a wide range of construction-related tasks. With core skills in using hand tools and power tools, you will be responsible for executing various building and renovation tasks.

All online Health & Safety courses will be provided (site safety, manual handling, asbestos awareness etc). A company van will also be provided with a fuel card and full company uniform supplied.

Must be a good timekeeper, reliable, honest and trustworthy at all times. Two professional references to be provided.

This position is for immediate start however can be negotiable for the right candidate

40 hours per week (Monday - Friday). Annual leave requirement can be negotiated following a successful interview.

Required Qualifications:

Multi trade experience (5 years minimum) Full current UK driving licence. A full enhanced DBS check is required before commencement of role. (conducted by employer).

Essential skills:

Painting & decorating General carpentry (door installation, stud walls etc) Basic plumbing Flooring Basic tiling General maintenance skills Gardening/ garden maintenance Fencing works

Desirable skills:

NVQ trade qualification(s) Small concrete repairs and path installations Basic patio laying Basic brickwork Plastering

Pay: 38,000.00-45,000.00 per year
