We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. This role requires a hands-on approach to construction and maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Tradesman will be responsible for executing a variety of projects, from minor repairs to larger construction jobs.
Responsibilities
Perform carpentry tasks including framing, installation of doors and windows, and cabinetry work.
Carry out roofing repairs and installations, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing.
Execute construction painting duties, preparing surfaces and applying finishes with precision.
Conduct plumbing repairs and installations, including pipe fitting and fixture installation.
Undertake masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and stone setting.
Engage in welding tasks for metal fabrication and repair as required.
Provide electrical support including wiring, fixture installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion within deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, plumbing, roofing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade is required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is advantageous.
Good physical fitness as the role may involve lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
