Mixed - initially based at Adventure Marine office in the New Forest, then mix of home and office plus attendance at trade events/demos around the country over the course of time

minimum 25 hours per week

About Us:

What started as a hobby after the pandemic has become a fast-growing family business. Adventure Marine is owned and manned (currently!) by husband and wife, Algie (the technical one) and Lesley (the wordy one) Bennett, who love getting out on the water whether on a kayak, a sailboat or - now - an electric powered boat. Over the past 3 years, they have developed a reputation of passionately challenging the claims of motor and battery manufacturers and delivering the electric solution customers need to power their water craft whether a kayak, a small tender to go from ship to shore, larger sailing boats, river launches, work boats on reservoirs and lakes, or safety and coaching boats for sailing and rowing clubs. Rather than selling a product off the shelf and simply pushing one manufacturer's range, they've forged relationships with different suppliers to give their customers real choice as well as honest advice. Algie's technical know-how is second to none and this has lead to Adventure Marine becoming the exclusive UK distributors for a number of international businesses including Mitek based in Italy and Momentum based in Singapore. While the main public facing brand for Adventure Marine is currently Electric Outboard, the business has a number of other domains secured and is actively looking to not only grow the EO brand but also the Electric Sailor, the Electric Boat and the Electric Safety Boat brands. The business is on the cusp of taking a massive leap forward and it's a hugely exciting time to be joining the team. There is huge potential to develop the advertised apprentice role further over the years ahead.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Multi Channel Marketer Apprentice to join our team. You will be primarily focused on marketing, helping us grow our social media presence, run campaigns, and connect with our customers -- while also assisting with website and administration and customer service tasks. This is a hands-on role offering creative freedom, the chance to run marketing campaigns from scratch, and exposure to all aspects of running a business.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing:

Manage and schedule social media posts for Facebook and Instagram

Analysing and tracking post performance

Engage with followers and respond to comments on social media.

Run ad campaigns where relevant.

Help create email newsletters and other marketing content.

Prepare for and attend Trade Shows

Website:

Manage and update our websites, including adding new material, updating images, checking links, and maintaining apps.

Assist with basic IT troubleshooting and website tasks.

Customer Service:

Answer customer emails and phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner.

Maintain and manage customer queries and sales through our CRM system

Skills & Qualities:

Some experience with IT and online platforms.

Social media savvy and creative, with a willingness to learn new tools (including AI).

Flexible, friendly, and a team player.

Enjoys water-based activities e.g. kayaking, sailing, winging (aligned with our brand).

Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
