Multi-skilled Maintenance technician (Electrical and Plumbing experience)
The Square Property Management in partnership with Isabellas Homes Ltd is looking to appoint an enthusiastic working Shift Multi skills maintenance technician with demonstrable experience in the operation and maintenance services. The post holder will work with in the maintenance team ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of all buildings, and associated services in an efficient, economical and safe manner in accordance with all statutory departmental guidelines.
Main duties of the job
*Day to day work may consist of; easing doors, fitting locks, installing shelves and repair works.
*The multi skilled role is to maintain the structure and the fabric of the building, including maintaining the fire doors and windows in all the different properties.
*Small refurbishment works will be undertaken in care home, properties and office areas.
*You must be able to communicate to all staff in a clear concise manner.
*Help other trades when requested.
*Confident using battery powered hand tools.
*A full driving licence is required for this post.

Experience
Essential
Relevant experience of Care home environment or similar establishments
Experience of building maintenance and systems.
Experience of adhering to health and safety control and asbestos, COSHH and permit to work guidance
Experience of working shift patterns/on-call rota systems
Experience of working with plant and equipment, the repair and maintenance of plant ,equipment and building infrastructure
Experience of working on Low Voltage electrical systems
Experience of Health and Safety Legislation
Demonstrate safe use and operation of relevant tools and equipment
Desirable
Experience of lone working.
Minimum of two years post apprenticeship
Qualifications
Essential
Completion of a registered apprenticeship or structured training program in Building or Construction for a minimum of 3 years.
At least 2 years post training, site experience having demonstrated high versatility and flexibility.
Background in Building or construction installation, alteration, maintenance or repair.
Experience with equipment and woodworking machinery.
Capable working to deadlines.
Reasonably clear and effective in verbal and written communications.

Demonstrate competence in the required range of technical aspects applicable to the post
Be able to plan, programme and mange maintenance and project priorities under pressure
Ability to understand technical drawings and diagrams and diagnose technical faults
Ability to use a range of Power tools and equipment
