We teach in small groups with a dedicated and experienced teaching team, ensuring that each student receives individual attention and care. We create individual learning packages to support our students' needs.
Main Duties
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across KS3-5, including GCSE and RSL Music Practitioners courses.
Teach performance, composition, and music technology, using Logic Pro and a range of instruments and recording equipment.
Inspire students through confident performance, leading ensembles, demonstrations, and practical workshops.
Assess, track, and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and setting clear learning objectives.
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as concerts, music clubs, and community performances.
Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across schools in the In Toto Ed Group.
Maintain and organise music resources, ensuring safe and effective use of instruments and technology.
Participate in departmental development, curriculum planning, and professional learning.
Support whole-school responsibilities, including tutoring, supervision, safeguarding, and performance management processes.

About You
Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Strong subject knowledge in Music with excellent classroom management and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
Skilled in music performance, composition, and technology (including Logic Pro).
Effective communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including completion of mandatory training and willingness to submit an Enhanced DBS check.
Creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting student progress and inclusion.
Desirable:
Degree in Music or a related field.
Experience teaching AQA GCSE Music and RSL Level 2/3 Music Practitioners.
Confident performer with experience leading ensembles, bands, or extracurricular activities.
Proficient in music production, recording, and sound engineering.
Innovative and collaborative, with a passion for creative arts education and curriculum development.
