Sheffield Music Hub is launching a brand new salaried Music Tutor role across a range of musical instruments and genres. We are striving to be a diverse and inclusive organisation and welcome a broad range of applications.

Our new Music Tutors are dedicated Music Education Professionals and you will be joining an exceptional team of educators. Sheffield Music Hub
Tutors will be expected to deliver a mixture of work from specialist lessons to whole class teaching and ensemble directing.
This portfolio of work occurs during the school day with some activities happening outside of this period.
The role sits within a term time only 39 week contract so the salary range is pro-rata accordingly from the advertised range.
Shift patterns available
1. 7.24 - 1 day (brass)
2. 21.72 3days (drums)
3. 14.48 - 2 days (piano)
4. 18.1 - 2.5 days (piano)
5. 14.48 - 2 days (rap and production)
6. 28.96 - 4 days (violin)
7. 7.24 - 1 day (vocal)
8. 14.48 - 2 days (vocal)
9. 18.1 - 2.5 days (vocal)
10. 25.34 - 3.5 days (woodwind)
These exciting new roles are in response to huge demand for provision and we are delighted to be growing our team.
We are seeking 10 new tutors within the following skill range:
Brass
Drums
Piano / Keys
Rap and production
Violin / Viola
Vocals
Woodwind
Roles between 1 and 4 days per week depending on demand.
Expected start date w/c 10th November 2025

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
