Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week (including day, evening, night and weekend shift working)

Driving Licence- The successful candidate should hold a full clean driving licence as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed here. *Working Pattern will include the following:
Early shifts 8am - 5pm
Late shift 11.30 - 8pm
Night shifts 8pm - 4.30am

We have 4 posts in our Licensing and Out of Hours Team. The position is a frontline compliance/enforcement role tasked with dealing with a wide remit of issues that affect the city both in the day and at night. The successful candidates will be involved in the delivery of a variety of regulatory services including licensing compliance, statutory nuisance and street trading alongside other related compliance and enforcement functions. The role requires direct intervention either proactive or reactive in issues that are occurring to ensure that activity is compliant with relevant legislation and taking forward any subsequent enforcement actions. As an officer you will be required to work across the entire city responding to issues as they are occurring.
Please note this role works a shift pattern which includes some nights 8pm - 4.30am and weekend working Saturday and Sunday early 8-5pm and 11.30am - 8pm
