To be responsible for the provision of day-to-day support of Atlas Communications NI Ltd customers as required by the Senior Network Engineer.
Job Role
Operational Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the installation and support of the equipment at customer's premises to ensure effective service within agreed time scales and to the standards required by the company.
2. Ensure the appropriate level of liaison between accredited partners, sales and customers is delivered to maintain an efficient and effective service.
3. Provide consultancy and appropriate advice and support to customers as required.
4. Establish and maintain effective communication between Atlas Communications NI Ltd and third party network service providers as required.
5. Ensure that customers receive the correct product to meet their specific requirements.
6. Plan and co-ordinate effective training ensuring the customer has a sound understanding of the product and the benefits it can offer.
7. Plan and organise travel and accommodation requirements to customer sites in accordance with the procedures required by the company.
8. Identify and develop the required level of interpersonal and presentation skill sets, building trust and confidence to ensure effective site visits.
9. Complete the required documentation and reporting in respect of the installation, configuration and commissioning of equipment as required.
10. Ensure complete customer satisfaction in respect of all aspects of work carried out.
11. Ensure personal time management reports are completed within agreed time frames.
12. Responsible as required for the provision of office based technical support internally and externally.
13. Responsible as required for onsite maintenance.
14. Ensure all issues are dealt with as quickly as is practicable and to report to your Manager any issues that may arise from specific faults.
15. To be responsible for the planning, preparation and presentation of internal and external training courses as required by the Lead Connect Engineer.
16. To be part of the 24-hour call out rota as required. Making yourself available to assist other engineers where appropriate.

3. Ensure all relevant purchasing, quality and other company procedures are followed as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
1. Cisco CCNA accreditation OR Juniper JNCIA Qualification.
Desirable
1.2 Full CCNP or JNCIS certifications, or equivalent experience.
1.3 Fortinet switching and firewall experience
1.4 Ubiquiti Wi-Fi installation experience
1.5 Extreme Network switching and wi-fi experience
1.6 Firewall certification
1.7 Cat5 cabling and fibre splicing experience
2.0 RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
2.0 Minimum of 3 years' experience within Network Engineering/IT Support role (field based).
2.1 Demonstrable ability to successfully receive technical training, subsequently
deploying the imparted knowledge to best advantage.
2.2 Evidence of ability to investigate issues, analyse and present options for achieving resolution.
2.3 Understanding of WAN / LAN / Wi-Fi solutions

2.4 Experience of working with networking products from Juniper, Cisco and Fortinet.
