Network Engineer - MSP

Overview:
We are a growing Managed Service Provider based in West London seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our technical team. You'll work across a diverse client base, managing and supporting network infrastructure, delivering project work, and providing high-level support. Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Troubleshoot network issues across Layer 1-3 in client environments (on-site and remote)
Configure VPNs (site-to-site and client-to-site), firewalls, and network security appliances
Monitor network health using RMM tools (e.g., Auvik, ConnectWise, N-able)
Implement VLANs, manage routing, and optimise network performance
Design and support Wi-Fi networks, ensuring signal strength and stability
Assist with cloud network integration (Azure/AWS), including hybrid setups
Document client networks, changes, and project work to a high standard
Provide occasional on-site support across London and participate in on-call rotation
Required Skills & Experience:
Solid knowledge of IP networking, routing, switching, subnetting, and DNS/DHCP
Experience with firewalls and security appliances (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco)
Hands-on experience with MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA, documentation platforms)
Strong understanding of VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and managed switching
Proven track record of deploying and troubleshooting wireless networks (e.g., Unifi, Meraki)
Working knowledge of Azure/AWS networking fundamentals
Clear written and verbal communication for client interaction and documentation
Experience supporting VoIP/QoS solutions is a plus
Desirable Certifications:
CompTIA Network / Security
Cisco CCNA / CCNP
Fortinet NSE 4
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
