Job Description
We are currently seeking
Network Engineer
with hands-on experience inrouter installation and configuration
. This role involves visiting client sites to install and configure network routers and associated hardware. Ideal for freelance or contract engineers seeking flexible, project-based work.Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik) at customer premises. Perform hardware setup including mounting, cabling, and powering up devices. Connect routers to switches, modems, and other network equipment. Conduct connectivity and speed tests to verify proper installation. Troubleshoot installation or configuration issues on-site or remotely. Work closely with remote technical teams for guided deployments. Document each installation according to project requirements. Provide clear communication and updates during and after the visit.
Requirements:
Proven experience with router installations in field or on-site environments. Solid understanding of IP addressing, basic routing, and network configuration. Experience with Cisco, Mikrotik, or similar devices. Familiarity with remote access/configuration tools (e.g., PuTTY, SecureCRT). Own laptop and basic tool kit (e.g., console cables, tester, screwdriver set). Ability to travel locally to client sites. Strong communication and time management skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 25.00-30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
Work Location: On the road
