Neurodevelopmental Nurse

Skylight Psychiatry is a forward thinking, dynamic mental health service. We are a CQC registered service delivering person-centred assessment, care and support, with our ultimate aim being to improve the lives of people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and ADHD.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will be based in Middlesbrough, primarily conducting virtual Autism Clinical Assessments from a secure space at home. There may be occasional face to face appointments that need to be conducted at Park View Medical Clinic in Middlesbrough.

Depending on experience, opportunities can also be made available to conduct ADHD assessments.

The successful candidate will share our visions and values, and have an understanding or passion for working with neurodivergent individuals.

Responsibilities

Conduct Clinical Assessments (6-8 per week, or 6 with some post diagnostic or other support telephone calls) Preparation of reports within the required timeframes Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings Attend monthly management supervision with a member of the senior management team Support service improvement activities under the direction of a member of the senior management team Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in patient record systems, clinical reports and other associated documentation Present and share relevant information with colleagues Support and contribute to the training and support of other staff Any other duties as deemed to be within the scope of the role Individual

Essential Requirements

:

Must be NMC registered 1 year experience in the diagnosis of autism 2 years' experience in the management/support of autistic individuals Proficient computer skills Excellent organisational skills Problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative Attention to detail Flexible and ability to adapt to the needs of the service Skilled communicator Good understanding of data confidentiality Good understanding of risk assessment, management and dealing with safeguarding concerns

Desirable

:

Experience in the diagnosis and management of both Autism and ADHD

Pay: 42,500.00 per year

Schedule: Flexitime - Monday to Friday
