We are recruiting NQ Solicitors (qualifying this September) for our top tier Projects offering to supplement our internal qualifying cohort. We have work available across a range of sectors with household name clients.
These sectors include renewable energy, defence, sustainable transport/infrastructure and public sector procurement. In joining Burges Salmon, you can expect to work and develop alongside market-leading experts, providing regulatory and commercial legal advice on an enviable diet of complex and engaging projects. The Work
Specific duties within the Projects Team can vary between sectors, but more broadly the work is similar to that of a commercial solicitor, with the key difference of delivering commercial, procurement law, due diligence, and regulatory advice within highly regulated sectors which require specialist expertise.
What you will need
A training seat in Projects is not required for this opportunity, but you should be able to demonstrate interest and prior research of our specialist sectors (Energy, Defence, Sustainable Transport/Infrastructure, or public procurement).
Transactional/advisory areas of law with transferable skills and experience may include but are not limited to:
Commercial
Banking & Finance
Corporate (M&A)
Construction
You will also need to be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales as of September 2025.
