taxi company based in Crawley

, is looking for a reliable and organised

Night Controller / Customer Service Agent

to join our growing team. This key role involves booking coordination, dispatching, and delivering excellent customer service during evening and overnight hours.

Shift Pattern:

4 days on / 4 days off

Hours:

19:00 - 07:00 (12-hour night shifts)
The role includes weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and allocate daily bookings to ensure timely and efficient service. Ensure drivers are fully briefed and arrive on time for every job. Maintain clear and professional communication with all drivers. Answer incoming calls and emails promptly, providing helpful and courteous support to passengers. Quote fares, estimated wait times, and other journey details accurately. Assist with booking reservations via phone and email. Monitor and manage dispatch emails. Update drivers with their next pick-up/drop-off instructions in real time. Monitor driver performance and adherence to company standards. Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Operations Manager. Perform any other relevant duties as required during your shift.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in the UK taxi/private hire or transport sector. Strong working knowledge of taxi and private hire operations and relevant regulations. Proficient in using computer dispatch systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to commute reliably or live within 30 minutes of Crawley.
