to join our offshore catering team. In this vital role, you will help deliver exceptional catering, accommodation, and support services to offshore personnel, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
As a key member of the galley team, you'll contribute to the health, comfort, and morale of all onboard, ensuring a positive living and working environment and full compliance with offshore safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve all meals on time, maintaining company and client standards.
Ensure compliance with the
Food Safety Act
, including temperature control records and overall food hygiene.
Manage and rotate stock effectively, minimizing waste and adhering to contract food cost targets.
Support the Head Chef/Chef Manager with menu planning, budgeting, and efficient resource use.
Adhere to and maintain galley cleaning schedules.
Report hazards, irregularities, and any damage or loss of inventory promptly.
Ensure kitchen equipment is correctly used, safely operated, and kept clean.
Work in line with
Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, COSHH
, and
Health & Safety
legislation.
Participate in safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and team briefings.
Build positive relationships with clients and respond proactively to customer feedback.
Assist with general duties as required, including container unloading.

Attend HSE meetings and maintain a personal safety contract.
Lead by example to promote a strong safety culture onboard.
Ensure compliance with all HSE and hygiene procedures.
Support, guide, and monitor galley stewards, ensuring training and performance standards are met.
Provide backup for emergency response duties as per client procedures.
What We're Looking For
Recognised
bakery qualification
.
Valid
BOSIET
and
MIST
certification.
Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety, and stock management.
Proven experience in a similar catering role, preferably offshore.
Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
Flexible and proactive approach to work and safety.
