Job Summary

The role of a Hotel Night Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of a hotel during the night shift. A Hotel Night Manager is responsible for the safety and security of guests, staff and the building itself. They are required to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills as they may be required to deal with unexpected situations during their shift. Role includes conference set up and occasional bar work. Due to bar work applicants must be over 18.

2 x 8.5 hour shifts 10.30pm to 7am

Holiday cover also needed for other Night Manager

Salary depending on age and experience - to be discussed at interview

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all hotel activities during night hours, ensuring operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Oversee front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and handling guest enquiries or complaints with professionalism. Monitor security procedures to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property; respond promptly to emergencies or incidents. Maintain detailed records of nightly activities and escalate issues to senior management as necessary. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all aspects of hotel operations during night hours.

Skills

Supervising experience within the hospitality industry; previous hotel experience is preferred but training will be given Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills. Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on delivering a welcoming environment. Proficiency in handling guest services issues with tact and professionalism. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities efficiently. Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies or unforeseen situations.
