The Role



As a receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our valued guests. You'll have a detail-oriented approach to every interaction, while being courteous and enthusiastic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. You will thrive on delivering exceptional customer service, expertly handling guest inquiries and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience, all through the night.

Responsibilities include



Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing guest inquiries and requests Work closely with the reservations, housekeeping, and F&B to ensure a smooth guest experience Maintain accurate and organised records of guest reservations, cancellations, and guest preferences while assisting with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry and reporting Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room types, hotel facilities, and local attractions (including the Bodmin Jail Attraction) Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, including the issuance of room keys, payment processing, and providing necessary information Confirm room availability and provide accurate information on rates, packages, and special promotions Assist guests with special requests, room preferences, and any concerns they may have, working closely with reservations team and resolve booking-related issues or discrepancies professionally and courteously

Required Skills & Experience



High school education or equivalent Previous experience in hotel reservations, front desk, or customer service is preferred Experience with a hotel reservation system and booking software (desirable) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive attitude Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
