About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a full time (35 hours) Night Supervisor to join our Homeless Service in St Albans. We are looking for calm, enthusiastic individuals who enjoys helping others and seeing the difference their support can make to enable individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Working as part of a dedicated team, your role as a Night Supervisor is to:

  • Provide appropriate support to our service users.
  • Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual`s needs, supports their aspirations and maximises their independence.
The shifts will be between the hours of 09:30pm - 08:30am. You will be allowed to sleep between 11:00pm - 6:00am but you are still expected to respond to any incidents, which may affect the safety or security/welfare of the tenants or the standing of the project in the community.

The night supervisor will always be on shift with a waking night worker, therfore no lone working.

About You

We are looking for passionate people with a `can-do` attitude who are driven by the desire to make a difference and who have the ability to recognise the needs of vulnerable young people and communicate effectively.

You will need to be able to:
  • Work shifts as part of a rota system which will include weekend and bank holiday working.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to the people we support.
  • Be flexible in your approach to work.
  • Have a commitment to equality and diversity and take a positive approach to supporting people.
Experience is desirable but not essential.
