Job Title: Night Supervisor

Location: St Andrews, Fife

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Oversee that end of day procedures and subsequent reports are completed in an accurate and efficient manner. Supervise overnight services and security of guests and property in the absence of the Night Manager.

To achieve maximum room occupancy and that all bookings/guests are treated with a high standard of service in respect of customer contact, accommodation, accounts and enquires.

To operate in a professional and courteous manner in order to ensure customer, guest and staff safety at all times.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide operational supervision during the night and quality service to the standard experienced during the day
  • Supporting Company and Hotel policies and procedures including the promotion and anticipation in Health and Safety and GSI initiatives. Through the Line of Sight Objectives and daily job task checklists ensure that the department is set for success in order to obtain our departmental objectives in Voice of Guest, AA Inspection, LQA, REVPAR and Colleague Engagement
  • Act as a point of contact for all guests during their stay and undertake Duty Management responsibilities at the resort. Through delivery of our mission statement and Service Promise ensure the guests satisfaction is met by the front office. Ensure that guest service issues are resolved and requests for additional special services are carried out. Ensure the effective follow up of all guest requests as dictated by the Fairmont standards
  • To use discretion and tact when dealing with guest enquiries, problems or complaints in an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the hotel and/or its reputation. To ensure that all guest complaints are dealt with immediately and initiate any follow up
  • To advise the Night Manager/Front Office Manager of any matters relating to guests, their welfare and behaviour as considered desirable for various reasons. In all incidents, provide management with reports and recommend actions to avoid repetition of any incident, accident theft, complaints etc. An unbiased Duty Manager report is to be completed at end of every shift in absence of Night Manager
  • To assist Night Manager in the training and development of the team and ensure that all things positive and negative will be handled in a discussion/conversational manner as per company policies. This will be performed via the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, \xe2\x80\x98one on one\xe2\x80\x99 colleague reviews, discussion forms, and on-going departmental training
  • To assist the Night Manager with scheduling and management of departmental labour
  • The Night Supervisor will be fully trained in emergency procedures and is to assist in emergency practice drills as required
  • In absence of Night Manager, the Night Supervisor is responsible for executing the Crisis Procedures overnight in accordance with the Bomb Threat and Fire Evacuation Plan
  • To perform any other related duties assigned by the Night Manager/Front Office Manager

  • Experience within a hotel setting
