We're looking for
dedicated Support Workers
to join our team and provide overnight support to
two young men with complex autism
, living independently in their own homes--right next door to each other.
About the Role:
You'll be part of a close-knit team providing
waking night support
--ensuring safety, comfort, and consistency through the night. These young men are full of energy and personality, and while your shift is overnight, understanding their routines and needs is key.
? ? About the People We Support:
These two young men are:
Very active
- they walk up to 7 miles a day, go to the gym, swim, trampoline, and horse ride weekly.
Creative and social
- they enjoy Nintendo, YouTube, music, drawing, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Routine-driven
- structure, boundaries, and positive reinforcement are essential.
What You'll Be Doing: Providing
overnight support
and ensuring a safe, calm environment
Supporting with
personal care
,
medication
, and
household tasks
Maintaining clear boundaries and routines
Working as part of a team that values
resilience
,
compassion
, and
consistency
? What We're Looking For:
Experience with complex autism
is essential
Physically fit and emotionally resilient
Able to maintain strong boundaries and follow structured routines
A calm, observant, and supportive presence during the night
Shifts & Contracts:
Waking Night Shifts:
10pm - 8am
Contracts:
44 hours per week - temporary role for 9 months (maternity cover)
