Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including care homes, nursing homes, and home care environments. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those you support by assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities



Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Implement and monitor care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships. Assist with case management tasks, coordinating with healthcare professionals as needed. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in areas such as dementia care and first aid. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment.

Experience



Previous experience in a care setting such as a care home, nursing home, or hospice care is highly desirable. Familiarity with case management processes and the development of care plans is advantageous. Experience working with individuals living with dementia or other cognitive impairments is beneficial. A valid driver's licence is preferred for roles requiring transportation of clients. Certification in first aid is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided.
