We are currently recruiting for a waking night support worker within our project. As a waking night support worker, you will be a key member of the team providing high standards of person-centered support (if required) throughout the night. Through a caring approach, you will build positive relationships with our young people, supporting them in living as independently as possible. You will be the main point of contact on shifts between 20.00-08.00.
Duties
Supporting the young people, we support evening/morning routines and ensuring the home is a safe and secure environment.
Monitoring the young people throughout the night and completing necessary checks required, alongside the relevant documentation needed, to be able to hand over to the day staff.
Monitor CCTV to ensure the safety of the young people and building
To ensure all young people return safely to the project, if they are out. For those who do not return you will follow each individual failure to return plan.
Reporting young people to the police as missing if required.
Liaise with Emergency Duty Social Work teams and other external agencies such as CAMH's, Crisis team ...
Complete all relevant paperwork such as incident reports, missing reports
Other duties include:* Cleaning tasks
Work tasks set by the day staff - such as updating service user files
Other administrative tasks such as shredding, scanning
Skills
Excellent communication skills

Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
Strong 'can do' attitude
Relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
Good standard of literacy and computer skills
Applicant must be 21+
