Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as required. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and ensure the safety of assets. Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of all individuals on site. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during shifts. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.

Experience

Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies is beneficial. Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification is desirable. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
