To strengthen our motivated Team at our Packaging Plant in Bradford, we are looking for a passionate No 1 Lithographic Printer (m/f/d).


The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and running the Print machines producing high quality carton packaging to meet production, efficiency, customer and consumer requirements withing the healthcare industry. The role must ensure all company policies and procedures are met including Health & Safety and Quality whilst managing operational and quality deadlines and fault reconciliation.

Successful candidates should be educated to a good standard with qualifications in Lithographic Printing or equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have previous experience of working within the Print Manufacturing Industry, preferably with previous exposure and experience with Lithographic Printers, KBA and or Komori Machines. Knowledge of operating machinery as well as previous skills and knowledge of working within a fast paced and ever-changing production and manufacturing environment is essential for this role. Candidates must have sound knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety alongside the ability to adhere to company policy and procedures. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills is essential to this role, as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Individuals must be able to prioritise their workload and work effectively when under pressure, as working to tight deadlines is part of this role. Applicants should have a flexible approach to working, be both externally and internally customer focussed and be both reliable and methodical. A sound knowledge of IT packages is essential for this role as well as administration skills, attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills. GMP knowledge, and Lean Six Sigma knowledge and accreditation would also be desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

To effectively run the print machines, identifying and reporting any necessary maintenance faults and requirements. Maximising machine efficiency and minimise machine downtime. Achieve daily/weekly production targets. Carry out reconciliation of quantities required, and quantity produced, ensuring correct specifications and quantity of product are produced within the specified deadline. Ensure any shortages and targets not met or not as requested are escalated and are immediately reported to the department manager. Identify improvement opportunities and actively support company improvement initiatives including Internal Audits, Calibration, Gemba walks, 5S events, etc. Ensure the correct procedures and quality checks are completed to ensure production meets both company, customer specifications and established industry and quality standards. Compliance with good housekeeping, GMP procedures and the 5s methodologies. Follow Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment, escalating concerns and risk. Follow all company processes and procedures in accordance with company Quality Manual, ISO 9001:2000, PS 9000 and GMP. Support all new and existing employees in department related activities, training and development to ensure the success of the department and company. Adopt a flexible approach to work and undertake any other duties to support effective running of the department as directed by the department manager. Hours of work:



This is a continental working pattern working days and nights, 36 hours per week with paid breaks. The normal hours of work are based on 3 x 12-hour shifts per week on a 4-week rotating basis: + Week 1: 06.00 - 18.00 Monday to Wednesday
+ Week 2: 18.00 - 6.00 Sunday to Tuesday
+ Week 3: 06.00 - 18.00 Thursday to Saturday
+ Week 4: 18.00 - 06.00 Wednesday to Friday

On occasion, due to the nature of this role you will need to demonstrate a certain amount of flexibility.
